Effect of Acupuncture Treatment at S 36 on the Blood Pressure and Cerebral Hemodynamics of Rats

Abstract
|
|
|
This study dealed with the effects of the blood pressure and regional cerebral blood flow(rCBF) on acupuncture treatment to the acu-point equivalent to S 36 of sprague dawley rats(SDR).
1. Acupuncture treatment at S 36 did not effect BP in SDR.
2. During acupuncture treatment and after acupuncture treatment at left S 36 did not effect left rCBF in SDR.
3. During acupuncture treatment at left S 36 did not effect right, rCBF, and that after acupuncture treatment at left S 36 significantly increased right rCBF in SDR.
4.. During acupuncture treatment and after acupuncture treatment at right S 36 did not effect left rCBF in SDR.
5. During acupuncture treatment at right S 36 significantly decreased right rCBF, and that after acupuncture treatment of right S 36 significantly increased right rCBF in SDR.
6. During acupuncture treatment and after acupuncture treatment at both S 36 significantly decreased left iCBF in SDR.
7. During acupuncture treatment and after acupuncture treatment a both S 36 did not effect right rCBF in SDR.
These results suggest the acupuncture treatment causes a diverse response of blood pressure and reginal cerebral blood flow.
